Oppo Android 11 Update

Most of you guys may be aware of the Android 11 launch, which was made by Google. There may be a question in everyone’s mind, which is whether your device is eligible for the new Android 11 update. As you know, there are very few devices that run on Stock Android. Most of the phones run on Custom UI’s. Unlike MIUI, all other UI’s get update whenever a new Android version pops-out. OPPO uses Color OS in its devices, and it has improved by bounds and leaps now. The brand will launch the latest Color OS 11 on top of Android 11 on September 14. OPPO had jumped from Color OS 7 to Color OS 11 for matching the name with the Android 11.

With this article, we will look at the devices which are eligible for receiving the Oppo Android 11 update. Some of the devices have already received the update, and some are yet to receive the same.

OPPO Reno 4 Pro (4G/5G)

A few months before, the brand announced its new device in the premium mid-range “Reno” series. Usually, the “Reno” series used to come with a shark fin camera setup. But this time, the brand has stopped that trend. It sports the Snapdragon 720G & 765G for 4G and 5G model respectively. It has a gorgeous 90Hz AMOLED panel. Further, it also has decent cameras and support for 65W fast charging tech. The device was launched with Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10. Of course, the device will be eligible for receiving the new Android 11 update. OPPO generally push at least two major updates for its premium devices.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from October for 5G variant, and from November for 4G variant. 

OPPO Reno 4 (4G/5G)

The base variant of the Reno 4 series which has downgraded features compared to the “Pro” variant. Although, both the devices have the same processor i.e. Snapdragon 720G & 765G. The only difference between both of them is in cameras. It means that you will get a downgraded camera on the Reno 4. Just like the “Pro” variant, it also runs on Android 10 (Color OS 7.2). The device is also eligible for the Android 11 update and will receive it soon.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from November for 5G variant, and from December for 4G variant. 

OPPO Find X2 Pro Android 11 Update

OPPO’s Find series is a full-fledged flagship series that always comes with excellent specifications. Back in March 2020, they have announced their flagship device of 2020. It is a true flagship like the Samsung “Note” series. The specifications include a massive 120Hz AMOLED panel, IP68 water resistance, 65W Super VOOC 4.0, and Snapdragon 865 5G SoC. Another is where the Find series is known for the cameras. The Find X2 Pro also has a premium camera setup, which also includes a periscope sensor. The device was launched with Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10. Speaking about Android 11, the device was the first device from OPPO to receive the Android 11 Beta updates. We hope that with the global launch of Color OS 11, the device will receive the stable Color OS 11 on top of the Android 11 update.

OPPO Find X2 Android 11 Update

The Find X2 is a watered-down version of the premium variant “Find X2 Pro”. The device also has some premium flagship features which are a bit down, though. For example, it gets IP54 instead of IP58, and downgraded cameras compared to the Find X2 Pro. The display is the same, and battery capacity is also the same. Just like the “Pro” variant, it also runs on Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10. And like the “Pro” variant, it also received the Android 11 Beta update. It is currently running on the same Android 11 beta.

OPPO Find X2 Neo Android 11 Update

The OPPO Find X2 Neo is a watered-down version of the premium Find X2 series. But, the device retains some features, so we can that it is a premium mid-range device. Talking about that, it has the Snapdragon 765G processor, which has an in-built 5G modem, a 90Hz AMOLED display, and supports up to 30W fast charging tech. Speaking of cameras, it has a pretty decent camera setup, which also has a telephoto sensor. The device runs on Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10. As of now, it doesn’t have Android 11 beta updates. But soon, it will receive the same.

OPPO Find X2 Lite Android 11 Update

The OPPO Find X2 Lite is the cheapest device in the “Find X2” series. To be a part of the OPPO Find X2 series, it has the Snapdragon 765G SoC. Other specifications are just a 60Hz AMOLED panel, a standard camera setup, and a 30W fast charging tech. The device is targeted towards the budget smartphone users who can spend little more to use a premium mid-range device. The device also runs on Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10. Like the Find X2 Neo, it will soon receive the Oppo Android 11 update.

OPPO A72 Android 11 Update

OPPO’s “A” series a budget series from the brand. It offers smartphone which an average consumer needs. Back in April, the brand unveiled its OPPO A72. The device features the Snapdragon 665 SoC, a 6.5-inches IPS LCD, a 48MP quad-rear camera setup, and a massive 5,000mAh battery. The battery also supports 18W fast charging tech. The device runs on Color OS 7.1 on top of Android 10. It will also receive the Android 11 in the future. But considering it is a budget device, it will take some time to reach the device.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from December 2020, no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO A52 Android 11 Update

Another budget device from the brand which was unveiled in April 2020. The specifications of the device are the same as the OPPO A72. The only difference between both devices lies with the rear-primary sensor. The OPPO A72 has a larger 48MP sensor while the OPPO A52 has a smaller 12MP sensor. It also runs on Color OS 7.1 on top of Android 10. The Oppo Android 11 update for the device will be rolling out in early 2021.

OPPO A12 Android 11 Update

The OPPO A12 is an entry-level smartphone for consumers who can’t afford higher budget devices. It comes with pretty average specifications for a device. That said, the device sports the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, a 6.22-inches display with an HD+ resolution, a dual-rear camera setup, and a 4320mAh battery, which supports 10W fast charging. Even though the device is launched in 2020, it still runs on Color OS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie. The chances of Android 11 are low, as it has to receive an Android 10 update before 11. And, OPPO generally pushes only a single update for its budget devices.

 Status of update – will not be available as it still runs on Android 9. 

OPPO Reno 3 Android 11 Update

Another device in the “Reno” series which was unveiled in March 2020. The device sports the Helio P90 SoC, an AMOLED screen with a standard refresh rate, a quad-camera setup with a 2x telephoto lens. The exciting part is the vast front camera sensor i.e., a massive 44MP sensor. The device packs a 4025mAh battery, which also supports 30W fast charging tech. Like any other 2020 device, it was again running on Color OS 7 on top of Android 10. The device will receive the Android 11 update soon after the Reno 4 series receive.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from September 30th; no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO Reno 3 Pro (4G/5G) Android 11 Update

The top-end model of the “Reno 3” series is the OPPO Reno 3 Pro, which has some differences from the base variant. The Reno 3 Pro features the Helio P95 SoC for the 4G variant and Snapdragon 765G for the 5G variant and a Super AMOLED display. Like Reno 3, it just a 60Hz panel. The device also has a quad-rear came setup with a primary 64MP sensor. All other specifications are the same as the Reno 3. It means that the same battery capacity, same 30W fast charging tech, and the same front camera. The Reno 3 Pro runs on Color OS 7 on top of Android 10. The Oppo Android 11 update will soon be available for the device.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from September 30th for 4G variant, and from Q1 2021 for the 5G variant; no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO Reno 3 Youth Android 11 Update

The Reno 3 Youth is not an upgrade or a downgrade from the Reno 3 or Reno 3 Pro. The best part is Reno 3 Youth gets the Snapdragon 765G, which is a massive upgrade in terms of processor. Other things are downside like lower nits of brightness panel, downgraded rear cameras with primary 48MP sensors, and of course, a downgraded front camera. On the software side, it runs on Color OS 7 on top of Android 10. Speaking of the Android 11 update, the device will receive the update along with the Reno 3 Pro.

OPPO F15 Android 11 Update

OPPO’s “F” series is a standard mid-range segment, not the premium mid-range segment. “F” series is also one of the popular series of OPPO. Back in January 2020, OPPO unveiled the smartphone with the Helio P70 processor. The “F” series devices aren’t of much power but will have decent cameras. It has a 48MP quad-rear cameras and support for 20W fast charging tech. It also runs on Color OS 7 on top of Android 10. The device will receive the Android 11 update somewhere near January 2021.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from Q1 of 2021; no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO A9 2020 Android 11 Update

We have already discussed the “A” series, which is a budget series from the brand. The OPPO A9 2020 also comes with the Snapdragon 665 SoC and an HD+ display. When launched, it was running on Color OS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie. Later the brand pushed Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10 for the device. The Android 11 update for the device has been confirmed by OPPO itself.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from Q2 of 2021, no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO A5 2020 Android 11 Update

It is a watered-down version of the OPPO A9 2020. It means that the device has the same SoC, display, and slightly downgraded cameras. Like the A9 2020, it was also running on Color OS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie. However, the brand has already pushed the Android 10 update for the device like the A9 2020. The Oppo Android 11 update for the device has been confirmed by the brand.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from Q2 of 2021, no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Android 11 Update

The OPPO Reno 10X Zoom is one of the best “Reno” series devices because it has incredible specifications. Speaking of that, it has the Snapdragon 855 SoC, a 60Hz AMOLED panel with a size of 6.6-inches, a shark fin front camera with a 16MP sensor. It has a three-cameras to the back, and one of them is a periscope sensor which can do up to 10X hybrid zoom and 5X optical zoom. Like other OPPO devices, it also comes with support for 20W VOOC charging. On the software front, it was launched with Color OS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie. Later, the brand has updated it to the latest Color OS 7.2 on top of Android 10. The device will receive the Android 11 (Color OS 11) update because OPPO generally pushes two significant updates for its premium devices.

OPPO Reno2 F Android 11 Update

The OPPO Reno2 F is a mid-range “Reno” series device which comes with average specifications. Underneath the Reno2 F, it sports a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, Helio P90 SoC, a shark fin front camera, and a quad-rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. It also supports 20W of VOOC charging tech. Like other 2019 devices, it also runs on Color OS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie. A few months before, OPPO had pushed the Android 10 update. Like the 2019 “Reno” devices, it also will receive the Android 11 update.

OPPO Reno2 Z Android 11 Update

The OPPO Reno2 F and Reno2 Z doesn’t have any differences apart from their SoC’s. The lower Helio P70 powers the Reno2 Z, while the higher Helio P90 powers the Reno2 F. Apart from this, it doesn’t have any other devices. Even the software versions are the same. Even OPPO had pushed the Color OS 7.2 (Android 10) for the device. OPPO will also roll out the Android 11 update for the device soon.

OPPO Reno Android 11 Update

The first device from OPPO’s “Reno” series which came with the shark fin front camera setup. Talking about the specifications, the OPPO Reno features the Snapdragon 710 SoC. It’d a dual-rear camera setup that had a 48MP sensor coupled with a 5MP depth sensor. Since it’s 2019 device, it was running on Android 9 Pie. Later OPPO had to update the device into Android 10 (Color OS 7.2). OPPO will also roll out the Android 11 (Color OS 11) update for the device.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from Q2 of 2021, no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO A5s Android 11 Update

OPPO had launched its budget device OPPO A5s smartphone in the year 2018. It’s a budget device that came with the Helio P35 SoC. Other specifications include an HD+ display, a dual-rear camera setup, a single front camera, and a 4,230mAh battery. On the software side, it was running on Android 8.1 (Color OS 5.2). OPPO had updated the device to Android 9 (Color OS 6.1). Generally, OPPO only rolls a single major update for its A-series smartphone. So, the device won’t receive the Android 11 update because OPPO is yet to push out the Android 10 update.

 Status of update – will not be available as it’d already received a significant update, and still runs on Android 9. 

OPPO F11 Pro Android 11 Update

We have already talked about OPPO’s “F” series, which is a budget mid-range device from the brand. The OPPO F11 Pro comes with a pop-up camera which has a 16MP sensor. Underneath the device, it has the Helio P70 SoC, which is built on the 12nm process. Apart from this, it sports a Full HD+ display, a dual-rear camera setup with a primary 48MP sensor, and a 4000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging tech. On the software front, it was running on Color OS 6 (Android 9 Pie). Later, the brand had pushed the Android 10 update. The device will receive the ColorOS 11 update.

OPPO F11 Android 11 Update

The OPPO F11 shares the same specifications as the OPPO F11 Pro. The only difference between both these devices is that the OPPO F11 doesn’t have a pop-up camera like the OPPO F11 Pro. All other specifications are just the same. OPPO had also rolled out the Android 10 update for the device. OPPO has confirmed the Android 11 update for the device.

 Status of update – Beta will be available from December 2020, no ETA available of the stable update. 

OPPO F9 Pro Android 11 Update

The OPPO F9 Pro features the Helio P60 SoC from MediaTek. Apart from this, it has a dual-rear camera setup, a 25MP front camera, a 3500mAh battery, and a Full HD+ display. The device was launched with Color OS 5.2 on top of Android 8 Oreo. Later, OPPO had pushed out the Android 9 and Android 10 update for the device. It means that the device has already received two major updates. So there are no chances of Android 11 update for the OPPO F9 Pro.

 Status of update – The device will not receive the Android 11 update because it’d received two significant updates. 

OPPO F9 Android 11 Update

The OPPO F9 and OPPO F9 Pro don’t have any differences apart from the front camera. The OPPO F9 has a smaller 16MP sensor while the OPPO F9 Pro has a bigger 25MP sensor. The rest of the other specifications are just the same. Even OPPO had pushed two significant updates for the OPPO F9, like the OPPO F9 Pro. It also means that the device will not receive the Oppo Android 11 update.

 Status of update – The device will not receive the Android 11 update because it’d received two significant updates. 

OPPO A7 Android 11 Update

The budget device from OPPO i.e., the OPPO A7, was launched by the brand in 2018. It came with basic specifications like the Snapdragon 450 SoC, an HD+ display, a dual-rear camera setup which consists of a 13MP sensor + 2MP sensor, and a 4,230mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging tech. On the software front, it runs on Color OS 5.2 on top of the Android 8 Oreo. Sadly, the brand hasn’t pushed any significant updates for the device till date. It means that the device still runs on Android 8 Oreo. There is no question of the Android 11 update here.

 Status of update – It didn’t receive any significant updates till date, so the question “will it receive Android 11 here is irrelevant.” 

So, in a nutshell, it means that OPPO has improved a lot from the older times. OPPO has been pushing two significant updates for most of its devices. The above list is made after the Color OS 11 launch which the brand made on September 14. However, the brand hasn’t unveiled the dates of stable updates for these devices.
