Lenovo Vibe X3 : Pros & Cons

Lenovo launched it’s newest high end model, Lenovo Vibe X3. It will take over the place of it’s previous model Vibe X2, if we’re going by their naming conventions. But alot have changed with the phone, mostly their design language of the phone. It’s close in terms of design with the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, which was launched along with the Lenovo Vibe X3. In this post, we’ll be talking about the pros & cons of the Lenovo Vibe X3 and the details you want to know about the phone.

Lenovo Vibe X3

Lenovo Vibe X3 comes with a specification set which can battle even the higher priced OnePlus 2 (expect being 1GB short in RAM). Also, it comes with Qualcomm’s quick charge 2.0 technology, which can charge the phone very quickly. And the phone also comes with ‘Hybrid dual SIM’ capability, in case you’re wondering, it is a hybrid SIM slot, which means either you can use the phone as a dual SIM phone without expandable storage or you can use the phone as a single SIM with microSD expansion. This is because one of the SIM slots is also used as the microSD holder, so that only one of them can be used at a time. Take a look at the other basic specifications of the phone :

Model Lenovo Vibe X2
Processor 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 64 bit

Lenovo Vibe X3 Pros

  • Flagship level Snapdragon 808 SoC. This is the same SoC that you can find in last year’s LG flagship LG G4.
  • Awesome sound quality with dual front facing speakers. The spot light on audio just doesn’t stop there, it has included Sabre 9018C2M DAC for lossless audio output, which is combined with Texas Instruments OPA1612 amplifier, and a Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec for noise reduction & cancellation.
  • Dolby Atmos software included, which also enhances the audio quality.
  • Finger print scanner on the back.
  • 21 MP rear camera, which comes with the ability to shoot 4K videos.

Lenovo Vibe X3 Cons

  • Vibe UI, which isn’t for everyone (especially the cartoonic icons).

I would say the sub 20,000 smartphone market just got interesting and this will give the OnePlus X a run for it’s money. At any given moment I will choose Lenovo Vibe X3 over OnePlus X or even OnePlus 2, because of all the pros I’ve mentioned. Other competition for the phone is Moto X Play, Nexus 5X & Qiku Q Terra 808, but Lenovo Vibe X3 undercuts all of them with it’s pricing and specifications. I would suggest you to go with Lenovo Vibe X3, if you’re looking for a good phone under 20K INR with awesome audio capabilities, of course if you don’t mind using a phone without Vanilla Android experience!
