Nexus Android Nougat Update

If you want to flaunt your phone with the latest versions of Android, you must get one of the Nexus devices! As the Nexus phones will be the first ones in line to get the Android Nougat 7.0 update. In fact, you can already have Android Nougat 7.0 in your Nexus phones as you can install the Android N developer preview which was released for some Nexus devices earlier this year.

The Nexus devices which were released just last year will be the ones which get Android Nougat 7.0 update the first, which are :

  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 5X
  • Nexus 6
  • Nexus 9

The older Nexus devices will also be getting the update, but we’re not sure when or if they’ll be getting the Nougat update. Last time with Marshmallow update, the older Nexus devices such as Nexus 4 & Nexus 7 (2012) were left out. This time, it might happen with the Nexus 5 & Nexus 7 (2013).

So that’s it guys, it’s all I have here. I’ll be updating the post as soon as the updates and the Android Nougat Update timelines are released or leaked by the manufacturers. Stay tuned!

  1. Android updates typically only go to devices that were made within the last 2 years before the update was rolled out. Devices made in 2015 should get any 2017 updates. A device from 2014 probably will not. Google only promises 2 years of update support. Pretty simple formula. 2 years from the release date of the device.

    1. If you want to know ask samsung support live chat you text a Samsung person I asked if mine would they said I will get the update

  2. I have the Galaxy tab A 8.0 2015 android 6.0.1 disappointed me i hope android 7.0 will be better and also where did you get the information from I love it and how long do I have to wait until I get android 7.0

  3. few month back i heard that Galaxy E7 gonna get M update. but it disappointed me, now i’m wonder how it will get N then!

    1. Me to it have the Galaxy tab A android I can’t wait to get android 7.0 and see what it does because 6.0.1 is really bad

    1. It sucks because the writer took the time to inventory all the updates with respective timelines and then post in a well ordered clear fashion?
