Nexus Android Nougat Update
If you want to flaunt your phone with the latest versions of Android, you must get one of the Nexus devices! As the Nexus phones will be the first ones in line to get the Android Nougat 7.0 update. In fact, you can already have Android Nougat 7.0 in your Nexus phones as you can install the Android N developer preview which was released for some Nexus devices earlier this year.
The Nexus devices which were released just last year will be the ones which get Android Nougat 7.0 update the first, which are :
- Nexus 6P
- Nexus 5X
- Nexus 6
- Nexus 9
The older Nexus devices will also be getting the update, but we’re not sure when or if they’ll be getting the Nougat update. Last time with Marshmallow update, the older Nexus devices such as Nexus 4 & Nexus 7 (2012) were left out. This time, it might happen with the Nexus 5 & Nexus 7 (2013).
Motorola Android Nougat Update
Motorola is known for updating their devices fast to the latest Android version, even they were one of the first to release update to their Android phones even before most of the other giants did. - 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)

LG has earned pretty good reputation among devs for updating their flagships faster than anyone else to the latest Android version. Last update also, LG updated their flagship, LG G4 to Marshmallow soon after the update was released for the Nexus devices. How about HTC desire 10 pro ? Will it get the update from google (android)?
still waiting on moto g4 play to update to n :/
Android updates typically only go to devices that were made within the last 2 years before the update was rolled out. Devices made in 2015 should get any 2017 updates. A device from 2014 probably will not. Google only promises 2 years of update support. Pretty simple formula. 2 years from the release date of the device.
I understand.but moto nexus 6 is still updating android 7.1.1, this device 2014 edition…
Note 4 will not get 7.0.
